Wedding Short Films

The Short Film Collection is our middle package, which focuses on the key moments of your day, leading you from the buzz of anticipation in your preparations to your first dance as a married couple. The result is a powerful edit with a strong narrative like the Full Feature Collection offers but with more pace like our Highlight Collection (our shortest edit on offer).

With this package, you get 2 cinematographers for 10 hours. We typically start filming an hour before the couple completes their wedding attire. This allows us to shoot the beautiful details of the venue and the finishing touches of the outfits. If both preparation locations are not logistically close, then we will have a cinematographer with each of you. We operate a 3-camera set-up, allowing us to capture different angles of the ceremony (from the sidelines out of the way) and split to cover simultaneous events when needed, such as one of us filming guests at the drinks reception, while the other is capturing memorable portrait clips of you looking your best.

Matthew is an actor so my gosh can he deliver a speech that moves everyone to tears. The length of this edit, allowed us to lean into the little moments, like the moment he saw his bride, Alexandra, walking across the lawn towards him, as he waited under the chuppah. This moment gave me a lump in my throat and I knew it was going to be a good balance when paired with the energetic Jewish dancing, for which this edit length gave me time to introduce a new upbeat song. The couple added on a trailer and full speech edits.

Before the wedding day, the couple and I talked about honouring her late father in their film, without it being melancholy. We agreed to film Laura reading a letter from her father, which she was to open for the first time the morning of the wedding. It became clear in the editing process that the imagery of the day, mirrored the words of her father which was incredibly powerful, perhaps too much to relive at every watch. After a discussion, we decided to include speech dialogue that referenced her father meeting her husband but keep the letter reading as a separate video. The result is a touching film, filled with joy. Laura and Simon opted for several add ons, which can be seen in the menu, an example of how customisable our wedding videography is.

This film is perhaps the only film I have opened with a speech from the mother of the groom. It was an absolute gem, so I was thrilled they chose the Short Film Collection, with a duration time that allowed for this. Bonus features can be added on after the wedding day, as long as we have been informed that feature is happening, we will always film it. In this case it the couple had stand alone films for speeches and a fun game they played at dinner.

Christopher and Trisha had a very elegant and formal wedding at Claridges, London. I wanted to reflect their wedding style in the camera language with slow regal shots and the groom’s words, (for which I was spoilt for choice,) leading the narrative. This edit length allowed me to also include some words from the Mother of the bride, as she walked her daughter down the aisle, which I love about this package, as I find my couples are most satisfied when their video encompasses family roles, as well as their love story. Had they had chosen the shorter package, they would have had the option to have the Mother of the bride’s speech as a separate additional video.

Optional Add Ons:

  • We produce a multi-camera edit of the wonderful words said on your day, complete with reaction shots which really add to the impact.

    In our experience, speeches vary hugely in length and number of speakers from wedding to wedding. So, we have introduced a customisable pricing structure, meaning you only pay according to the number of speeches

  • If you expect the first dance to begin later than 9 hours after the ceremony, you may add coverage by the hour. We will review the schedule in great detail before the wedding to ensure we know the moments that are most important to you. The option of extra coverage gives you peace of mind, knowing that it's all going to be captured without you clock-watching.

  • We include our favourite film stills with all our collections. This is a lovely little bonus. However, if you would like to add dedicated wedding photography to your collection, we offer two options:

    1. Photography Coverage:
      All the key moments of your day, echoing our natural and unposed approach. 500 digital images.

    2. Full Photography Duo:
      Don’t miss a thing with two dedicated shooters capturing simultaneous happenings, revealing to you extra moments of joy. 600 digital images.
