We love getting to know who you are during our pre-wedding chat. Everyone’s wedding has such a different feel, and our goal in wedding film production is to capture your essence and stay true to the style of your day. That's why, despite all our wedding films being shot by the same 'Wagtail', each has its own unique look and feel.
Because the truth is, your wedding film has the power to be more than just a visual record.
But only if it captures the genuine, unscripted moments that truly reflect the spirit of your day. That's where Ayla, the chief Wagtail, steps in with her invaluable film and TV industry background.
Having worked within the camera department on high-profile projects like 'Skyfall' and ITV's 'Whitechapel', Ayla brings a deep understanding of narrative storytelling, lighting, and camera language to craft your wedding film into something less 'wedding cliché' and more genuine.
We combine our expertise in discreet filming techniques and narrative storytelling to create films that are not just watched but felt.
Non-traditional wedding videography with discretion
We are often told two things by our couples at the end of their wedding day: “we didn't even notice you filming” and “you felt like part of the family”.
Our approach is to be discreet, capturing cinematic shots without making our presence felt. When the couple and guests are relaxed, the result is a natural and authentic wedding video.
We avoid clichéd poses and setups—you won't see sweeping shots of shoes on windowsills or dresses hanging in a tree in our films.
You will however, see the details captured with context: the dress as you slip into it, and the shoes as you hit the dance floor.
Candid Wedding Videography with Emotions
We put emphasis on loved ones, if that is a focus for our couple and the opportunity presents itself. If the ceremony layout allows it, I love to get the reactions of the guests when the couple is announced as married. It’s such a key moment and, while some videographers might choose only to get the kiss, there’s more to that moment than simply the couple. For me, it’s the close loved ones and parents clapping when they realise that all the build-up has led to this moment - that the families are now joined. My extensive experience, both from the TV and film industry and many years of capturing weddings, enables me to make quick and effective decisions on a fast-paced wedding day.

Behind the scenes, we’re selecting the perfect song that matches the pace and mood of your day and syncs seamlessly with the spoken words and the subtle sounds of your celebration. We analyse each moment, from quiet exchanges to the peak excitement of the dance floor, ensuring the music complements and enhances these scenes.

We typically start filming an hour before the ceremony or 8 hours before your first dance, which ever makes most sense with your schedule.

We will make our way around your wedding, adapting, to stealthy capture different angles of your ceremony and find the moments between people which make your film so personal.

Focusing on the key moments of your day, this edit will lead you from your ceremony to your first dance. The result is a powerful edit with only the most impactful shots chosen.

Speeches in Full: We produce a multi camera edit of the wonderful words said on your day, complete with reaction shots which really add to the impact. In our experience, speeches vary hugely in length and number of speakers from wedding to wedding. So, we have introduced a customisable pricing structure, meaning you only pay according to the number of speeches.
Extra Coverage: If you expect the first dance to begin later than 7 hours after the ceremony, you may add coverage by the hour. We will go through the schedule in great detail prior to the wedding to ensure we know the moments that are most important to you. The option of extra coverage gives you peace of mind, just knowing that it's all going to be captured without you clock watching.
Wedding photography: We include our favourite film stills with all our collections. This is a lovely little bonus. However, if you would like to add dedicated wedding photography to your collection, we offer a combined video and photo package.

We typically start filming an hour before the bride goes into the make up chair. This allows us to shoot the beautiful details of the venue. If both preparation locations are not logistically close, then we will have a cinematographer with each.

We operate a 2 camera set-up, allowing us to capture different angles of the ceremony and split to cover simultaneous events when needed.

Focusing on the key moments of your day, this edit will lead you from the buzz of anticipation in your preparations to your first dance as a married couple. The result is a powerful edit with elements of story from a Full Feature edit and pace like our Highlight edit.

From prep to party. We typically start filming an hour before the bride goes into the make up chair. This allows us to shoot the beautiful details of the venue. If bridal and groom prep is not logistically close, then we will have a cinematographer with each.

There may be 3 of us but this allows us to be even more discreet during the ceremony. We operate a 3 camera set up, allowing us to capture reactions with minimal movement and stay out of the immediate ceremony area, space dependent.

This is a great complement to the feature edit and is easily shareable with friends and family online.

We are really able to tell your story in full, to introduce dialogue, to make you laugh, and to make you cry.

These are clips that we really want you to have, but don't fit into your edit. It can be anything from Prosecco induced antics, a clip of the band with the live music, or a ceremony reading. We do it this way because it ensures we don't have to crow bar into the edit something that doesn't fit the natural flow of the story but neither do we have to leave it out completely for you never to see. You will find the Deleted Scenes under the Bonus Features section on your Interactive video menu.
