A Delicate Balance of Family Loss and Joy in Heartfelt Wedding Videography
From the moment they met, Simon and Laura had to navigate life’s ups and downs together. In creating their wedding video, Laura and I were thoughtful about honouring her late father, without it being too melancholy. We filmed her opening a letter her father had written to be read on her wedding day, but we chose to keep this moment as a separate edit from the main film. Instead, we incorporated Laura's wedding speech, which beautifully tied together the narrative.
I’m happy to say their final wedding film balanced the tribute with celebration. Their response on first viewing was “It’s perfect, it’s so us. The car is so nice. So glad we did that. The dancing at the end is amazing. It’s perfect”.
